Hello all. I am taking a short hiatus from blogging, especially since I have gotten so many nasty comments, as most bloggers probably noticed. Therefore, I am not deleting my blog, since if I do so, I will lose all my pictures and text from the last couple months. I've decided to take maybe a few months off. Mad for Plaid

I am in Sun Valley, Idaho for this week, until Sunday. The resort I am staying at is enormous and it has a small pond filled with swans, ducks, etc, when you first drive in. I thought this would make a great setting for a post, so here it goes. Everyone says that swans are so graceful, so I had to capture that with a few photos of me posing with them. By the end, the mother swan was getting quite annoyed with me, because of course, she had to protect her babies.

Anyways, more about the clothing. The plaid shirt was bought two days ago at a little snowboarding shop in Ketchum, Idaho. I've wanted a plaid shirt for a while now, but I couldn't find the perfect one. Even though this is a mens shirt, I think it fits beautifully. The boots were bought by my mother at a small ski store in New York. Since then, the store has closed down, but I have gotten a great amount of use out of these boots. Strangely enough, people have asked me if they could pet the boots.

One more thing. These anon comments are starting to get very repetitive. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all. Keep it to yourself anons.

So sorry that my posts have been so sporadic. This weekend I traveled to Toronto for my brothers 13th birthday. Since my grandmother lives there, it's like my second home. Of course I did a bit of shopping while I was there, especially at cheaper retail stores like H&M and Zara. Those two stores seemed to be following the popular trends but as usual, bought for a fraction of the price. That scull scarf is also identical to the Thomas Wylde one, correct? Oh and the last candid is one of my favorites of my mother. Hope everyone is doing well! X X X X

Today's day including seeing Confessions of A Shopaholic and raiding the nearby Goodwill with my friend and fashion blogger, Jenny. Having read some of the awful reviews for Shopaholic, my expectations were low. How pleasantly surprised I was to find a solid comedy with an excellent cast with mostly great chemistry. The main character, a shopaholic supreme, reminding all of us of someone we know. In the end there were tons of audience laughs and smiles, which really is what a day at your local movie theater is about. Next, Goodwill time! Pretty much all, including my purchases, were under 10 dollars. Jenny's purchases included a magnificent purple blazer that I am still jealous of and many more.

Biker Chic

On a recent post, I received a comment advising me to showcase my cheaper clothing. This advice really helped me decide what to show on here, especially because a bargain shops like H&M and Forever 21 are two of my favorite stores. Anyways, this past Saturday, my mother and I did our annual trip to Forever 21, in which I bought my spring clothes. I noticed that the actual spring clothing wasn't all that great, and I bought mostly blacks. This included a fringe vest, a pair of grommet leggings, a cardigan with two stripes, a jean romper, a satin skirt, a pair of satin shorts along with some beautiful accessories. Each of the pieces was under 30 dollars, which added up to a grand total of $204.37.

I'm also trying out the headband with bang look. This headband reminded me of a turban and ever since I saw Rachel Roy sporting them, I've thought that they are chic with a cultural twist.

P.s.- Sorry for the long break without an update. This week is looking hectic so I might not get to blog as much as I'd like. Hope everyone has a greatt week though!

Back in Black

This tutu is attached to the purple dress I wore in a few posts back. It's detachable, so voila, now i have two outfits for the price of one. This jacket (which was seen on another blogger's site) was bought from Express a few days back, along with the tee underneath. I had never shopped at Express since this time, but like any place, if you look around, you can always find something worth wearing! This leather jacket is amazing and I've already worn in three times in the past week. Also, black is a color that virtually slims out everyone. It can also be dressed up with bright color jewelry or a bright colored belt.

I've wanted a pair of tie dye jeans since they were advertised in Teen Vogue last year. The Teen Vogue pair were Diesel and they costed 400 dollars. Way too expensive for my liking and I knew that if I waited a few months, I could get them for a fifth of the price. These Levi's popped up when I was searching tie dye jeans on Google and the price was too good to turn down. A tip for all of you-If you are looking for something and type it into Google, they can always find similar products to the one you want, especially at a bargain price. That is all for now. X x x

Currently, this house, across the street from mine, is abandoned. It's a great place to take pictures especially with the large pillars and such. Anyways about the outfit... The skirt, which I sport as a dress, was bought years ago by my mother. I found it yesterday when going through her closet and thought it would make a perfect outfit with a tough pair of boots. It reminds me of one of those salsa dancing dresses. The last picture is of me and part of my sister, who takes the pictures. She will be on here one day, after she grows up a bit, considering she's only 5.

Sequins are one of the only things that ALWAYS make me happy. When I spotted this jacket at the Nordstroms Designer Sale, I just had to have it! What makes it especially cool is that it has a vintage look to it because the sequins are so rusty. Though it was quite the splurge, I will never regret it!

To get to the point, I'd wanted a tutu for pretty much my entire life. I adored them as a kid because what young girl doesn't wish she was a ballerina?! This dress, which incorporates a tutu into it, is a recent purchase from an online website. I showed it on here a few weeks ago under a purple dress post I did, but instead of me sporting it, it was a stick-thin model. Duh, it looks better on me! Purple is an amazing color on everyone as well.

My hair is getting soo long! Loveloveloveeeeeee.

This was the outfit I wore for the celebratory dinner for finishing exams. I love high waisted jeans because I feel like they can make any dressy top, casual. The ensemble also consisted of the heels which are quilted black patent leather.

P.s.- I recently downloaded photobucket and the quality of the photos are evidently better. Just thought I'd let you all know.

This shoot was so much fun, despite the freezing cold weather! This wooden bench is in the middle of our front yard. It's hidden in a forest of bushes on the side of the driveway. It's find it incredibly beautiful when the snow is covering it, to make it invisible to see. This coat is stunning. Not just the color, but the shape as well. The gloves are also so unique in that the length of them is my entire arm. Lovesss. The lastt picture is my amazing photographer. One word... 5.

Ughh today was another day at school after the two week hiatus. Today's day was very similar to yesterdays. I woke up at 8 o'clock for yet another tennis match, which I ended up winning to advance me to the semi-finals. After the win, I came home and studied for midterms. For dinner, we went to one of my favorite restaurants in town, Moxie. It's not a very fancy restaurant, so I ended up wearing jeans, a tee, a cool necklace, and my favoritee handbag and flats.

Purple strapless dresses

Today will be the last post of 2008! Oh how it has gone by so fast!

So todays theme is purple strapless dresses! I have become obsessed with the color purple in the last few months. The last dress you see, I even ended up buying it. Why do you think the main color of this blog is purple...?

This People magazine article agreed in that all stars are wearing a ton of purple as well. Here, Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, and Leann Rimes sport their favorite shades.

The first dress is also stunning. Its a silk-jersey dress with sweetheart neckline and knot detail at bust.. Just a Laila Azhar beauty.

The second dress is a Jill Stuart printed puckered-silk dress with sweetheart neckline and boning at lined bodice. So many of our favorite dresses are from Jill Stuart!

The third dress is Abaete and is a crinkle silk chiffon dress which has a woven chiffon bodice, sweetheart neckline and built-in corset boning. Gorgeous, may I add!

The fourth dress, which I own, is my favorite! I have been looking for a tutu for about 3 years now and when I found this, I had to have it! It's a beautiful French Connection twill tube Tutu dress. It's a super flattering strapless gown with trendy pleating in front and a full tulle skirt underneath to give volume. Very affordable.

Today was a very low key day. First, I woke up at 12 cos I've been going to bed very late. The reason for this is that I've recently become fixed on a t.v. show my mother introduced to me. It's titled My So-Called Life. It's about teenagers and their emotional travails in the 90's and it stars Claire Danes and Jared Leto. It's amazing and I'm already on the second disc :) Also, I've been studying for midterm exams everyday for about 3 hours. For those I just dress casual, but for nights I like to get more dressed up.

Tonight my family went to Little Italy for dinner. Little Italy, which is in Cleveland, consists of a few italian restaurants and bakeries. The food is to die for! More about my outfit. This dress, which was originally my mothers, was floor length and she decided to cut it. She made the mistake by cutting it too short and ended up giving it to me because she refuses to wear anything shorter than knee length. The socks are one of the few things in my wardrobe that I'm currently obsessed with! I got them a few days ago, when I saw another lady wearing them at a nearby department store. I asked her where they were from and she said she got them on sale. EVEN BETTER! So I went to the store and bought 2 pairs. The booties are an online purchase and I've been wearing them more than planned.

Hey guys! So basically, this is my first blog post. I've wanted to start a blog since I was about 11 years old, but I never really had enough motivation to do it. I thought this would be a chic outfit to start it with.

This outfit is one of my favorites. I got this dress about two weeks ago when my mother was in nyc for a ladies weekend. I told her to get me a little something, and she came back with this beauty. With all the sales in the major department stores, she gave in and here I am wearing itt. I've also always loved tights instead of leggings. The footed addition makes such a difference in my mind! These tights are textured as well, so they make the outfit even more adorablee. Cardigans are also a fashion must at the moment.
