Purple strapless dresses

Today will be the last post of 2008! Oh how it has gone by so fast!

So todays theme is purple strapless dresses! I have become obsessed with the color purple in the last few months. The last dress you see, I even ended up buying it. Why do you think the main color of this blog is purple...?

This People magazine article agreed in that all stars are wearing a ton of purple as well. Here, Eva Longoria, Natalie Portman, and Leann Rimes sport their favorite shades.

The first dress is also stunning. Its a silk-jersey dress with sweetheart neckline and knot detail at bust.. Just a Laila Azhar beauty.

The second dress is a Jill Stuart printed puckered-silk dress with sweetheart neckline and boning at lined bodice. So many of our favorite dresses are from Jill Stuart!

The third dress is Abaete and is a crinkle silk chiffon dress which has a woven chiffon bodice, sweetheart neckline and built-in corset boning. Gorgeous, may I add!

The fourth dress, which I own, is my favorite! I have been looking for a tutu for about 3 years now and when I found this, I had to have it! It's a beautiful French Connection twill tube Tutu dress. It's a super flattering strapless gown with trendy pleating in front and a full tulle skirt underneath to give volume. Very affordable.

I kneed you

Today was a very low key day. First, I woke up at 12 cos I've been going to bed very late. The reason for this is that I've recently become fixed on a t.v. show my mother introduced to me. It's titled My So-Called Life. It's about teenagers and their emotional travails in the 90's and it stars Claire Danes and Jared Leto. It's amazing and I'm already on the second disc :) Also, I've been studying for midterm exams everyday for about 3 hours. For those I just dress casual, but for nights I like to get more dressed up.

Tonight my family went to Little Italy for dinner. Little Italy, which is in Cleveland, consists of a few italian restaurants and bakeries. The food is to die for! More about my outfit. This dress, which was originally my mothers, was floor length and she decided to cut it. She made the mistake by cutting it too short and ended up giving it to me because she refuses to wear anything shorter than knee length. The socks are one of the few things in my wardrobe that I'm currently obsessed with! I got them a few days ago, when I saw another lady wearing them at a nearby department store. I asked her where they were from and she said she got them on sale. EVEN BETTER! So I went to the store and bought 2 pairs. The booties are an online purchase and I've been wearing them more than planned.

The weather, which has become around 60 degrees, is so warm that I can now wear dresses :) YAY

Starry Night.

Hey guys! So basically, this is my first blog post. I've wanted to start a blog since I was about 11 years old, but I never really had enough motivation to do it. I thought this would be a chic outfit to start it with. 

This outfit is one of my favorites. I got this dress about two weeks ago when my mother was in nyc for a ladies weekend. I told her to get me a little something, and she came back with this beauty. With all the sales in the major department stores, she gave in and here I am wearing itt. I've also always loved tights instead of leggings. The footed addition makes such a difference in my mind! These tights are textured as well, so they make the outfit even more adorablee. Cardigans are also a fashion must at the moment.
